Costa Rica is a surfers paradise and has been a top surfing destination for quite some time now. The point breaks, beach breaks and perfect lefts and rights found here all over Costa Rica make this tiny Central American country a leading hotspot in the world or surfing today. Costa Rica is sometimes called "the Hawaii of Latin-American surfing" and with beaches that are usually very clean, pristine and rarely crowded. With fantastic coastal climate and year round warm water temperatures Costa Rica has indeed become a favorite surfer hangout, especially for those who want to take on some of the most challenging waves.

Legendary and truly spectacular, the waves here are big and with the many reef breaks found along the coast, surfer’s here are in for some hollow and fast rides. Some of the beaches maybe kind of hard to reach, due to poor road conditions, but are well worth the trip as the waves here are good all year round. If one break doesn't work for you then its easy to drive down the coast and find another more suitable to your style or skill set.
